According to Welsh folklore & legend, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi was used by fairies and elves to herd magic cattle, pull coaches and serve as steed for magical warriors. If that part is true or not is up to debate, but one thing is for sure: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi sure are top-notch herding dogs! They have short but muscular legs and could be easily defined as a big dog in a smaller package.
